López Mena is president of Los Cipreses S.A. (Buquebus Uruguay) and Ríos Argentinos (Buquebus Argentina), two companies that operate ferry services between Montevideo and Buenos Aires. Additionally, he manages the dairy farm “El Talar” in the Maldonado department of Uruguay, among other businesses. López Mena serves as the president of the Argentine-Uruguayan Chamber of Commerce and was a director of the Argentine Naval League and the Argentine Chamber of Commerce in Florida (USA). In 2023, the business leader was authorized by the Uruguayan Ministry of Transport to invest $30 million to build a new terminal at the Port of Montevideo.
