After a stint at Citigroup, Uber and Frubana, Ana María Arroyo took over the management of Ticketmaster in Mexico in 2023, in the midst of the boom for massive concerts in the country. The performance of the business has exceeded the expectations of LiveNation, one of its main shareholders. Her management has not been free of challenges, such as the calls for more regulation of the sector and the collective action promoted by the Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Procuraduría Federal del Consumidor). Arroyo has put her hands to work and, drawing on her background in technology-driven companies, took a step to combat fraud and resale, with initiatives such as digital tickets.
