One of the top 30 restaurants to do business in Latin America
Why choose it: with one Michelin star (an evaluation that attests to an exquisite cuisine), won in 2015, the house appeared in 78th place in the list of the best restaurants in the world in the latest edition of “The World’s 50 Best Restaurants” award. Informality is one of the hallmarks of the restaurant, which operates in an old house in Rio de Janeiro. The menu favors vegetables grown in the gardens of the owners, chef Rafa Costa e Silva and his partner Malena Cardiel.
Business tips: Privacy and exclusivity. These are the concepts of the house, which only accommodates 10 people per night, at a counter-table in front of the kitchen. It is known as the “chef’s table”, from where the preparation of the dish can be followed. The place has a single arrival time, which means that the menu is served at the same time to everyone present. The restaurant is open from Tuesday to Sunday, with prior reservation through its website (www.lasai.com.br).
Average cost per person (without drinks) R$ 950 (USD 190).
Address: Largo dos Leões, 35, Humaitá, Rio de Janeiro - RJ.
