João Roberto Marinho

João Roberto Marinho is president of Grupo Globo, the largest media conglomerate in the country. In 2021, he assumed the presidency of the group’s Board of Directors, along with the role of chairman of the Editorial Board. He has a net worth estimated in $1.6 billion, according to Forbes. He is one of four children of Roberto Marinho, founder of TV Globo. In addition to being a leader in TV, Globo also owns the largest streaming platform in the country, Globoplay. The group recorded revenue of BRL 14.4 billion in 2021, up 15% compared to 2020.
