This Chilean executive has more than 20 years in the financial sector with a focus on investment banking. In 2021 he was appointed president and CEO of Avianca. The Colombian airline managed to emerge from Chapter 11 in December, with significantly reduced debt and liquidity of more than US$1 billion. The company, among other investments made this year, allied with Brazil’s GOL to create a holding structure called Grupo Abra, with closed capital incorporated in the UK, but with independent operations.
