Francisco Gomes Neto has been CEO of Embraer, one of the world’s largest aircraft manufacturers, since April 2019. Under his leadership, Embraer has been trying to recover after Boeing’s withdrawal to acquire its commercial aviation division in 2020 and has been making investments in the area of electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles, known as eVTOLs, through Eve. Embraer saw its revenue rebound in 2023 and orders approaching their pre-pandemic peak. Prior to Embraer, the executive held senior positions at Mann-Hummel and Knorr Bremse.
