Javier Mata is the brain behind chatbots or automated virtual assistants used by large Mexican companies such as Banorte, Elektra and Aeroméxico to interact with their customers. In five years he has taken Yalo as far as China and India. During the first months of the pandemic, his innovation went beyond the commercial sphere to be used by the Mexican government for its “Susana Distancia”, a chatbot promoting social distancing, that responds to the population’s questions regarding Covid-19.
