At the helm of BB Seguridade, Brazil’s second largest insurer, since July 2021, Ullisses Assis has been an employee of Banco do Brasil for 22 years. The executive has led efforts to digitize the processes of BB’s insurance, pension and capitalization segments, and has expanded online insurance sales and service through digital channels, as well as brokerage partnerships to broaden product offerings and meet new demands. All of this is reflected in improved results. The CEO has also driven growth in rural insurance and pensions. The company has delivered operating results above market expectations and its shares are up more than 20% in 12 months.
