Thamila Zaher is CEO and a board member of the SEB Group, one of Brazil’s leading education companies, with operations in 40 countries and a network of 350,000 students. She is the daughter of the group’s founder, Lebanese businessman Chaim Zaher. Thamila has worked alongside her father and sister Thalita in the expansion of the company, which reacquired in 2017 the Pueri Domus network, sold years earlier to the Pearson group. The company’s portfolio also includes Concept schools, which operates in the premium segment, and the Maple Bear bilingual school network, in which SEB Group has a 70% stake, acquired in 2020. Thamila Zaher is also a member of the board of directors of Yduqs, a company also in the education sector which owns Estácio and Ibmec, in which the Zaher family has a 10% stake.
