Roberto Nobile has been CEO of Telecom Argentina, one of the main telecommunications companies in the country, since January 2020. While awaiting the lengthy bidding process for the 5G network in Argentina, the company announced this year that it will invest about $5 billion (about US$14,3 million at the official wholesale exchange rate) to expand the country’s fiber optic network, and to extend and increase the capacity of the 4G network. Telecom Argentina has more than 3.5 million subscribers to its pay TV service, some 20 million cellular telephony customers and more than 4 million users of its broadband network.
