Ricardo Faria is an entrepreneur and the owner of Faria Farms, one of the largest egg production companies in Brazil. At the helm of the company, Faria has led an expansion through acquisitions. In 2022, Granjas Faria bought BL Ovos for R$270 million (US$54.5 million) and, in 2023, acquired a 60% stake in competitor Katayama for R$68 million (US$13.7 million). In 2022, Granjas Faria had net income of R$1.18 billion (US$238.3 million) and a net profit of R$170.5 million (US$34.4 million), according to a balance sheet published by the company. According to the company, Faria Farms houses more than 10 million birds at its facilities in several Brazilian states.
