Preto Zezé, or Francisco José Pereira de Lima, is a businessman, cultural producer, entrepreneur and president of the Central Única das Favelas (CUFA), a Brazilian organization recognized nationally and internationally in the political, social, sports and cultural fields that has existed for 20 years. During the pandemic, CUFA created the “CUFA Contra o Vírus” and “Mães da Favelas” programs - the latter helped families in more than 5,000 favelas and mobilized more than 425 million reais (US$86 million), with an impact on 13 million people.
