As one of the largest manufacturers of electronic components, Sanmina has found in Jalisco an important vein to grow and detonate the industry in the so-called Mexican ‘Silicon Valley’. Part of the success of this tech enclave was consolidated by Marco González Hagelsieb, who has been with Sanmina for more than 20 years. Half of that time he was in charge of operations in Mexico and the other half in global responsibilities, until he became vice president of operations. Under his leadership, Sanmina has become one of the largest employers in Jalisco and a major investor (this year they have a US$216 million plan in the state). Sanmina also has an important relationship as a supplier of components for the automotive industry, including to Tesla.
