Businesswoman Luiza Trajano is chair of the board of directors of retailer Magazine Luiza and was CEO of the retailer between 2009 and 2015, when she left the position, which was taken over by her son, Frederico Trajano. Throughout her career, she transformed a small store founded by her uncles in the city of Franca, in the interior of São Paulo state, into one of the largest retail groups in Brazil. Under the leadership of CEO Frederico Trajano, the company has bet in recent years on the expansion of online sales, investing in logistics and technology.
