Since 2011, mathematician Luis von Ahn is CEO and co-founder of the company Duolingo, known for the mobile app of the same name that allows online language learning courses and has more than 300 million users, besides being a huge commercial success around the world. Currently, Duolingo, which is listed on Nasdaq, has a market capitalization of more than $5.6 billion, making it one of the great Latin American unicorns. Another of this entrepreneur’s great successes was the creation of the company reCAPTCHA, which in 2009 was sold to the technological giant Google.
