Janaína Torres Rueda is one of the names behind the award-winning restaurant A Casa do Porco and the bar Dona Onça. The São Paulo chef is known for her advocacy of downtown São Paulo, where her restaurants are located, and of Brazilian gastronomy. Her cuisine makes extensive use of pork. Together with her partner and ex-husband Jefferson Rueda, Janaína raises the animals organically on a farm in the interior of São Paulo state, as well as growing the vegetables on the menus. The two are also the owners of Hot Pork and the Porco Real butcher shop. In 2023, A Casa do Porco was voted the 12th best restaurant in the world. Janaína is one of the new judges of the Top Chef Brazil program.
