Guilherme Benchimol is co-founder and chairman of the board of XP Inc. In 2018, he was the only Brazilian on Bloomberg’s list of the most influential people and, according to Forbes magazine, has an estimated fortune of US$2 billion. XP went public in 2019, when it was valued at US$14.9 billion. Benchimol’s company, which houses brokerages such as Rico and Clear, reached 1 trillion reais (US$204.7 billion) in assets under management in the second quarter of 2023, and the number of clients reached 4 million in June of the same year, according to XP.
