He presides over Asur, the manager of 16 airports in Mexico, Puerto Rico and Colombia. The recovery of tourism and travel has boosted its business, mainly at Cancún airport, the second most important in Mexico. On the other hand, its Colombian operations have suffered from the closure of a couple of airlines in that country. The company’s growth plans in LatAm continue and it has its sights set on the construction of a new terminal in the Dominican Republic, a project in which the company will invest almost US$18 million. The businessman also chairs Promecap, a leading investment firm in the sector.
