Enrique Beltranena

Mexico | CEO | Volaris

The president and CEO of Volaris is beginning to see the effect of the stabilization of crude oil prices, after the pressures experienced in 2022, due to the war between Russia and Ukraine. Beltranena anticipates that Mexico will regain Category 1 air safety status in the second half of the year, which would be a boon to its expansion plans on routes to the U.S. The airline is weighing the impact of an accelerated recall of Pratt & Whitney engines that power much of its fleet. Prior to founding Volaris, the Guatemalan businessman held various management positions at Grupo TACA.
