After serving for 10 years as director general of the Alexander Von Humboldt Biological Resources Research Institute, Brigitte Baptiste took over as dean of the Ean University on September 1, 2019. Today the university stands out for its focus on sustainable entrepreneurship. She is a biologist graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, with a master’s degree in conservation and tropical development from the University of Florida. She also holds a Ph.D Honoris Causa in environmental management from Unipaz. She has been one of the critical voices on the energy transition in Colombia and the approach needed for it to be orderly and successful.
