The Beckmann Legorreta family continues to control Becle, the corporate umbrella that includes the largest tequila brand in the world, as well as a mix of beverages that includes mezcal, whiskey, vodka and gin, among others. In 2022, the company reported sales of almost MX$46 billion, 16% more than the previous year, with an increase of more than 7.4% in the case volume of its brands. Cuervo is the best-known tequila brand in the world and the only one among the major tequila companies in Mexico that is owned by Mexicans. The Beckmann Legorreta family is going through a succession transition in which the main faces are Juan Domingo Legorreta Beckmann and his sister Karen Virginia. Both are considered among the holders of the largest fortunes in Mexico.
