The Mexican has been running Tetra Pak, a Swiss food packaging company, since 2019, and which, for some, is an option amid the commitments by large companies to reduce the use of plastics in their packaging. Last year the company sold 8.8 billion plant-based packages and 11.9 billion plant-based caps, which translated into 131 kilotonnes of CO2 saved.
