This operating system update will bring with it some changes:

• New features in the iPhone app
• New features in the Messages app
• Audio transcription in iMessage
• All emojis will be stickers
• NameDrop for sharing contacts
• New functions in AirDrop
• Enhanced autocorrect and predictive features
• Enhanced journaling app
• StandBy, new iPhone landscape mode

When will iOS 17 be available?

The trial version will be available from Monday, with the full version released in September 2023.

The following iPhone devices will be able to use iOS 17:

• iPhone XS Max
• iPhone XR
• iPhone 11
• iPhone 11 Pro
• iPhone 11 Pro Max

• iPhone 12 Pro Max
• iPhone 13
• iPhone 13 mini

• iPhone 14
• iPhone 14 Plus
• iPhone 14 Pro

In other words, all devices prior to iPhone X will be left out of the new iOS.
