Quintonil

Mexico City | Mexico

One of the 30 best restaurants to do business in Latin America

Why choose it: Under the leadership of Jorge Vallejo and Alejandra Flores, Quintonil has positioned itself as a world-class restaurant in Mexico City (and a rival to the also famous Pujol), to the point of being in the top 10 of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. This restaurant, located in the Polanco neighborhood, is characterized by having fewer tourists than others, and is more a haunt of diners from neighboring businesses. Experts qualify Quintonil as an exponent of the new Mexican cuisine; it offers an a la carte menu, but also a tasting menu with nine courses. In all its offerings, the restaurant incorporates local and hyper-local products, as Vallejo sources ingredients from a family garden, as well as from suppliers in the Mexican capital.

Business tips: Despite Quintonil’s ranking among the best restaurants in the world, its atmosphere is very relaxed. There is no dress code beyond business casual. The restaurant warns that it is not recommended for children under 12 years of age, but this is not something that applies to the full menu.

Average cost per person (a la carte menu): MXN$1,300 (USD 69).
