Ricardo was recently appointed president of Shell oil company for Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. He is a chemical engineer, graduated from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, and also holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Southern California. He has 20 years of experience at Shell, in block acquisitions, development project planning, and operations execution and production. He has also led petroleum engineering and development planning for the Shell Deepwater portfolio in the US, and worked in the Permian unconventional basin in the US.
