Nancy Duarte

Duarte is a master rum maker at Santa Teresa, a 226-year-old rum distiller in Venezuela, headed by Alberto C. Vollmer. Duarte was recognized as one of the most powerful women of 2022 by People en Español magazine. In 2022, she became the company’s first female rum master and the fifth in the brand’s history. She is a food technician, specializing in wines and fermented products. She has been in charge of different production processes at Ron Santa Teresa since 1990, and will now be in charge of leading the company’s production growth plans to meet international demand.
