María Olivia Recart

María is director of Compañía de Aceros del Pacífico (CAP), Chile’s leading steel mining group, and is also dean of the Universidad Santo Tomás. She previously worked in mining at Australian company BHP as vice president of corporate affairs for South and North America. She was also the government’s undersecretary of finance between 2006 and 2010, and spent 16 years at Fundación Chile, in charge of early stage innovation programs.
