João Adibe Marques is the CEO of Cimed, one of the largest pharmaceutical industries in Brazil and which had net revenue of R$1.5 billion in 2021. His father and grandfather set up a small laboratory (the future União Química) in São Paulo during the 1970s. With the growth in the sales of generic drugs, Cimed gained space in the market while also investing in research with its own study center in Pouso Alegre, in Minas Gerais.
