Gustavo Salinas was entrusted with a difficult objective in 2022: to take over the presidency of Toyota Argentina from the renowned Daniel Herrero, who led the company to become the country’s leading automaker. Salinas began his career at Toyota Argentina in 1996 as head of dealer development and also held different management positions until he was appointed in 2010 as director of sales, marketing and customer services of Toyota Argentina. In 2016 he was transferred to Toyota Motor Corporation’s headquarters in Tokyo, Japan, in the role of general manager of projects for the Latin America and Caribbean region.
