Federico Trucco has been CEO of the agricultural biotechnology company Bioceres since 2011. This year, the Argentine government approved the commercialization and planting in the country of the HB4 drought-tolerant transgenic wheat variety developed by one of the Bioceres Group companies. It was also approved by the agriculture ministries of China and Australia. Among other milestones in 2022, Bioceres Crop Solutions (BIOX) and Marrone Bio Innovations (MBII) signed an agreement to combine the companies in a stock transaction, with a final valuation of approximately US$243 million.
