A Brazilian and US citizen, David Neeleman is a serial entrepreneur in the airline industry, having already founded five companies: JetBlue, Morris Air, WestJet, Breeze Airlines and the Brazilian Azul Linhas Aéreas, of which he is the chairman of the board and controlling shareholder. At Azul, he transformed the air transport market in the country by betting on regional routes between medium-sized cities and secondary airports in capitals, until then relegated by the leading carriers.
