After Pfizer helped tame the Covid-19 pandemic with the massive sale of its Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine to Mexico, the drugmaker’s CEO in the country has maintained a significant relationship with the Mexican government. In August 2022, authorities purchased 300,000 oral treatments of the Covid-19 antiviral, Paxlovid, of which it has already received 180,000.
