Claudia Bejarano

A graduate in business administrator from the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Bejarano became in 2020 the first female president of the mining company Cerrejón, a major player in the Colombian economy and one of the largest open-pit coal export mining operations in the world. In a context of energy transition, Bejarano’s challenges include making the operation more sustainable and competitive.
