Carlos Gilberto Carlotti Junior is, since January 2022, dean of the University of São Paulo (USP), one of the most prestigious universities in the country. A physician graduated from the USP’s School of Medicine in Ribeirão Preto, interior of São Paulo state, Carlotti Junior specialized in neurosurgery and is a full professor and researcher at the same university. Before being elected as dean of USP in 2021, he was pro-rector of Graduate Studies at USP (from 2016 to 2021).
