Abilio Diniz is an entrepreneur and possesses a fortune of US$2.3 billion, according to Forbes magazine, coming from the supermarket business. With a degree in business administration, he took over as sales manager at Doceria Pão de Açúcar, founded by his father, and established the first Pão de Açúcar supermarket in 1959. Today, he manages Península Participações, a family office with R$12 billion in assets, including Carrefour shares, real estate, and the funds managed by O3, an asset founded in 2021. In June, he was appointed vice chairman of Carrefour Brazil’s board of directors.
