With a business career spanning more than 20 years, Marcela Galindo is the current vice president and will be the first woman to preside over the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama (CCIAP) for the 2022-2023 term. She is an architect who graduated from Texas A&M University (U.S.) and the University of Twente in the Netherlands, and obtained an MBA in geoinformation science and Earth observation. During her tenure, a Gender Equality Commission will be created to analyze nationwide initiatives. At present, she is the manager of the commercial pharma division of Corporación IMPA-DOEL, a family-owned company founded in 1948, which markets pharmaceutical products for basic and mass consumption.
