After a personal experience, she led a movement to legally recognize digital violence and punish crimes that violate people’s sexual intimacy through digital media. Her struggle has led to the recognition of this type of violence in most states in Mexico. Her greatest achievement has been the inclusion of this crime in the Federal Criminal Code. In 2020, 16 million Mexicans reported they had been affected by cyberbullying, of which, 27% received sexual advances and 24% recieved sexual content, according to the National Institute of Statistics and Geography.
