Lorenzo Mendoza is at the head of Polar, a Venezuelan family emporium that, this June, celebrated its 80th anniversary betting on frozen products and expanding the presence of its food and beverages in the international market. They began their expansion in Colombia in 1996. Today, the company has a wide portfolio of brands led by Harina P.A.N. Facatativá, a plant in which they will invest almost 6.5 million dollars to increase production capacity to 113,000 tons of food, supplies the Latin American market. Polar has smaller capacity plants in the United States, where they recently increased production capacity to 45,000 tons, and Europe, with a production capacity of 10,000 tons. More recently, they set up their own commercial operations in Peru, Ecuador and Chile. In Venezuela, however, the company maintains its highest production capacity, of almost 600,000 tons.
